Septic and Sewer Line Inspections

So important, but often missed is a Septic/Sewer Line nspection. A  Technician will provide video inspections of the wastewater lines exiting the home to inspect and identify any defects and to locate the lines to the sewer/septic tank as well as the depth of each component. We will dig to your septic tank lid and remove the caps for further inspection. Any defects identified will be shown and forwarded to the client.

Termite Inspections

Termite infestations can cause serious, lasting damage to your home. Licensed Inspectors will be looking for several key pieces of termite evidence.  Unfortunately, most homeowners will not know termites are in the home until they’ve already damaged the woodworks.   Customers who schedule a termite inspection as part of the loan process for a real estate transaction may need to obtain a termite letter.

Water Testing

Protect your health and get your well water/municipal water tested. As per NYS Dept. of Health recommendations, drinking water should be tested for bacteria annually and other contaminants every 3-5 years. This service can be added to you home inspection.

Radon Testing

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S. and is a serious public health problem. Radon testing is simple and cost effective. Many mitigation measures can address the problem if radon levels are found to be above acceptable levels. Real estate transactions may require radon testing prior to sale.

"While in the process of buying our house, we decided to get the septic lines inspected in addition to the Home Inspection. This revealed a broken pipe with roots growing in it. Much of the sewage never made it to the tank. We also found that the house had a history of clogs. This repair cost the Seller over $8,000....A cost that we would have eventually had to pay had it not been for the services of Bear Facts!"

Thank you,

Mike & Maria

"During our Home Inspection, Lenny took the time to explain the dangers of radon and importance of water testing. We opted to go with the additional testing. The bank was happy that we did the radon and we were happy that we had the water tested as it was positive for bacteria.  We bought the house and installed a water treatment system."

Thanks Lenny

“I wanted to sell my home, but not be surprised from a buyers home inspection. I called Bear Facts Home Inspections and they came out and did a thorough inspection of my home. They pointed out a lot of minor defects and several major defects. They were all addressed before showing the house. It was sold within a week and their home inspection showed no defects, just several recommendations.”

Definitely worth it.
